Handcrafted Steam

Welcome to my blog! My name is Anna Geare. I love crafts and the entirety of the steampunk world. What made me want to create this blog was the popularity that my steampunk blog posts seemed to have gotten on my college themed housing blog (which I will be posting links to on this blog). Also I have had trouble find places to feature my own pieces, so I want to give other artisans a place to do just that. I typically use the internet to get inspiration for my creations and to become a part of a community of people who are like me. I hope this blog provides these things for others like me. Steampunk:

Steampunk has become my number one fandom. I love the community, the creativity, the variety, and the talent that is so present in every aspect of it. I hope to educate readers of my knowledge of the subculture as well as feature new things I discover and find particularly interesting (which will be quite a lot since I find almost everything about steampunk interesting).

Crafts:

For my “crafts” posts I’d like to feature handmade pieces I find especially unique or inspiring. My personal focus is currently on jewelry, costumes/cosplays, steampunk pieces, and more recently plushies. I will try to expand this focus for both my personal inspiration, but more importantly for the benefit of my potential readers. Most of these pieces will likely be from deviantart and etsy, simply because those are the sites I am familiar with. As much as possible, I will notify the artists when I feature their work. If you have any suggestions or your own work you’d like featured, please let me know!
