Now, before you get started, remember that journals aren’t just for writing in. Journals and notebooks are for art, they’re for scrapbooks, they’re for all kinds of creative things! Fold up your kids’ art and glue it in. Make origami scenes that pop our of the page. Fill it with photos and poetry and paint! I have made some fun journals in my day that were a nice mix of scrapbook memories, and creative fun. Fill them with your favorite quotes, song lyrics, places you’ve been, awards, report cards, what ever you want! Or, use it to write stories or document your life.
